A Witch’s Guide to Albania: Herbal Shops, Supplies & Hidden Gems

Albania has always had a bit of a witchy undercurrent if you know where to look.

You may not find polished metaphysical shops on every corner, but you will find herbal shops, mountain teas, incense, Turkish bazaars, folk remedies, and tiny stores hiding surprisingly useful ritual supplies.

Since Albania is not in the EU, finding specific witchcraft supplies can take some creativity. This guide covers the best places I’ve found for herbs, candles, incense, tarot decks, oils, and other magical tools in Tirana, Vlorë, and online.

Where to Buy Incense and Herbs in Albania

As I’ve explored Albania, I’ve discovered that some of the best spots for incense and herbs are the Turkish-style variety shops. In Vlorë, there are two Turkish stores called Unbelievable. These shops are fantastic for picking up incense sticks, resins, and various herbal blends.

Best Witchcraft Shops in Tirana

Tirana has a few surprisingly good spots for spiritual tools, herbs, tarot decks, incense, and other magical finds.

For items that bridge the gap between Japanese pop culture and mystical tools, Raven Store is worth a stop. While it is primarily an anime-themed jewelry store and café, it’s a fun place to pick up witchy jewelry and niche tarot decks. I particularly enjoyed flipping through the Occult Tarot deck when I stopped by. It’s also a cozy spot to pull a card or two while enjoying a matcha latte.

For a more traditional spiritual shop, Nimfa Tirana is another great option. They carry crystals, tarot cards, palo santo, incense, and other supplies, making it one of the better places in Tirana to browse if you’re looking for actual metaphysical tools.

Agatha Herbs is also a standout, especially for those who want a wider range of supplies. They carry incense, tarot decks, oils, crystals, resins, spiritual colognes, and other harder-to-find ritual items. They also sell online, which is especially helpful if you’re outside Tirana.

Where to Buy Herbs for Witchcraft in Albania

One of the most authentic ways to connect with Albanian witchcraft is through the land itself. I always recommend visiting local herb shops and wandering through the open-air markets. You will often find farmers selling bundles of wild-harvested herbs, such as mountain tea (Çaj Mali), sage, and rosemary. You can also check out local brands like Merja or Teamra Herbals who have in person and online shops and very reasonable rates.

Buying Witchcraft Supplies Online in Albania

Sometimes, despite the abundance of local markets, you’ll find yourself needing specific hard-to-find supplies—be it specific colored candles, crystals, oils, etc. Temu has become an incredibly convenient resource for me in Albania. They offer a massive selection and free shipping that takes about 2-3 weeks on average for my orders to arrive.

Additionally, there are 150 or 160 LEK variety shops who are comparable to an American Family Dollar or Dollar General that carry candles, trays, and other basics.
