Where to See Flower Fields & Farms in Albania

Reading Time: 5 minutes

Albania is known for beaches and mountains, but some of its prettiest seasonal sights are flower fields and farms.

For a few weeks each year, you can find white narcissus meadows, purple lavender fields, sunflower farms, rose growers, and herb plantations across the country.

Keep in mind that bloom times change every year, and some farms are working agricultural businesses (not official tourist attractions), so do check ahead before making a long drive.

Rose & Flower Farms

Trëndafila Bujar Toca

The Elbasan area has several rose growers, including Trëndafila Bujar Toca near Labinot-Fushë.

The farm has been growing roses for years, with thousands of colorful plants cultivated for sale. It’s much more of a working nursery than a formal attraction, but flower lovers may enjoy seeing how roses are grown locally.

Best time: Spring to early summer
Good to know: Call ahead if you want to see the growing fields rather than just shop for plants.

Trëndafila Ali Toca

Also in the Elbasan area, Trëndafila Ali Toca is another local rose producer worth keeping on your radar.

This is a working agricultural business rather than a tourist garden, so I would treat it as a place to visit by arrangement. If you’re already planning a flower-focused day around Elbasan, it could pair nicely with the other rose growers nearby.

Best time: Spring to early summer
Good to know: Contact ahead before visiting.

Fidanë Trëndafila Tahiri

Fidanë Trëndafila Tahiri in Labinot-Fushë is another stop for rose lovers.

It operates more like a flower market and nursery than a sightseeing attraction, but it’s a good place to see local rose varieties and potentially buy plants.

Best time: Spring to early summer
Good to know: Best for gardeners and rose enthusiasts rather than casual sightseeing.

Ferma 100

If you want an easy flower-themed day trip from Tirana, Ferma 100 is a good option.

This organic farm in Vishaj is already set up for visitors, with a farm-to-table restaurant and plenty of outdoor space. Seasonal sunflower fields are one of the prettiest reasons to visit in summer. The farm is about 13 km from central Tirana.

Best time: Summer
Good to know: Contact the farm first if sunflowers are the main reason for your visit.

Flower Fields

The Lavender Fields of Gramsh

The lavender fields around Gramsh are probably Albania’s best-known flower fields.

During peak bloom, rows of purple lavender stretch across the countryside with hills and mountains in the background. Gramsh has even hosted a seasonal “Dream on Lavender” event to promote the fields as a tourism attraction.

Best time: Late June into early July
Good to know: Harvest timing changes each year, so check current conditions first.

The Meadows of Keti

Near Klos, the Meadows of Keti turn white with wild narcissus blooms each spring. The flowers grow naturally in an alpine meadow rather than on a farm, with mountains all around.

It’s one of the most unusual seasonal flower sights in Albania, but the bloom window is short and reaching the meadow involves some walking. Recent local coverage places the main flowering period around spring, especially April and May.

Best time: April–May
Good to know: Natural meadow rather than a visitor attraction; check recent photos before going.

Essential Oil Producers

Salvia Nord

Near Koplik in northern Albania, Salvia Nord specializes in medicinal and aromatic plants.

Its crops have included sage, lavender, immortelle, and other herbs used for teas, essential oils, and related products. The farm has been profiled as one of the region’s important medicinal-plant growers.

This is a different experience from walking through a rose garden or sunflower field, but it’s fascinating if you’re interested in herbs, gardening, or essential oils.

Best time: Late spring through summer
Good to know: It’s a working farm, so contact them before visiting.

Immortelle Therapy

Immortelle Therapy is one of the most interesting flower-related farms I found because the blooms are actually turned into essential oils and floral waters.

The company grows immortelle, lavender, and sage in Albania and offers visits where guests can walk through the fields and learn how the plants are harvested and distilled.

Immortelle itself produces tiny golden-yellow flowers and is especially common around the Mediterranean.

Best time: Late June to early July
Good to know: Visits should be arranged in advance

A Few Quick Tips

  • Many of Albania’s flower fields are working farms rather than tourist parks, so don’t assume you can freely walk through crop rows.
  • Ask permission before entering fields, don’t pick flowers, and remember that harvesting schedules can change the landscape very quickly.
  • Golden hour is usually the prettiest time for photos anyway, and you often don’t need to walk deep into a field to get a beautiful shot.
